Every year on the Texas roads, hundreds of thousands of people are injured and many are killed. The sad truth is that most of these accidents are not true accidents in the real sense of the word.  Most of the car wrecks in Texas are due to dangerous driver behavior, and you can hold these drivers accountable for the harm they cause you. Click here to learn more.

    DUI

Driving while drunk or impaired by drugs is one of the top causes of accidents here in Texas. Accidents involving alcohol claim well more than 1000 lives a year, and alcohol is involved in about 40% of all the traffic deaths here in Texas.

    Speeding

Speeding is a huge issue when it comes to car accidents. Hundreds of people are killed and thousands are injured every year by speeding, and excessive speed, while it is not actually the most common cause of an accident, does disproportionately cause massive injuries and death.

    Distracted Driving

Distracted driving causes almost as many deaths as speeding these days and causes hundred of thousands of car crashes in our state every year. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, one in five accidents these days is caused by a distracted driver who is texting, talking on the phone, or otherwise not paying attention.

Contact a Personal Injury Lawyer in Katy, Texas

If you’ve been injured by someone who is engaged in any of these behaviors, they’re negligence caused or at least greatly contributed to the accident. You deserve compensation, so it’s a good idea to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible.
